Bring Your Own Horse

Trail Rides

Months of operation:

  • Note: November - April we don't ride due to Winter weather (the trails are too icy and slippery)
  • May and June: weekends only
  • July through October: 5 days per week (days may vary)
  • Bring your own horse: details below
  • Cabin Rentals: all year round. See the Cabins page.

Rental Horses

We offer limited horseback riding on the ranch that is fun and adventurous. We personally guide all of our trail rides and provide instruction for all riders to ensure that they enjoy their ride! We have horses suited to all riding abilities, and the size of the groups are small - quite likely just your own party and our wrangler.

Most of our rides in July and August are a two hour ride and are in the morning. We have a couple of different rides that we offer, seeing different parts of the ranch each ride. See the Rates Page for details.

You'll enjoy our rides whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced horseman.

Bring Your Own Horse(s)

We offer small pastures and paddocks so you can bring your own horse and explore our area. Our ranch is completely surrounded by Crown Land, and you are free to explore it on your own. You can ride for a couple of hours, or all day. There are many lakes, the Old Cariboo Gold Rush Trail, power lines, existing horse trails, livestock routes, and logging roads to ride on. Ride through re-forested areas, acres of beautiful natural grass meadows, and our own ranch property.

We have lots of room to turn trailers around in, and our water is very palatable to visiting horses. We also have a 50 foot log round pen if extra security is needed to ensure the safety of your horse(s).

We recommend that you use a GPS or compass when riding. See the Rates Page for details.
